The project DISCOVERYDISaggregation of COnventional VEgetable press cakes by novel techniques to Receive new products and to increase the Yield – has started in 2018.

The transnational project consortium consists of Kaunas University of Technology (Kaunas, Lithuania), the University of Milan (Milan, Italy), Fraunhofer UMSICHT (Oberhausen, Germany) and the Berief Food GmbH (Beckum, Germany).

As part of the SUSFOOD 2 topic “Innovation in food processing technologies and products” the project has a duration of 36 months with a total funding of approximately 500 000 €.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 696231 and has been cofounded by ERA-NETs SUSFOOD 2. Additionally the work is financially supported by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) through the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE), grant number 2818ERA12B.
